Workshops

It's not every day you get to combine creativity, sustainability, and community in one space. Since June 2023, we've been on a mission to engage people in the art of upcycling, hosting 10 eco-friendly workshops where like-minded individuals come together to transform discarded materials into stylish, functional creations. These workshops have grown into a vibrant community hub, where participants channel their creativity into sustainable projects.

Each workshop goes beyond a simple learning experience—it's an opportunity to take meaningful action. From upcycyling old materials into chic fashion accessories to mastering eco-friendly design, these sessions provide actionable skills and insights that participants can bring home and incorporate into their daily lives. And the best part? There's even more to come! If you're ready to make a tangible impact, learn new skills, and connect with a community passionate about sustainability, stay tuned to learn what we've been up to and how you can join future workshops.

Every workshop is a small but powerful step toward a more sustainable lifestyle. Let's take a look at our journey so far!

Sew, Sip, and Cycle!

“Eco Ride Plan” at Uncle Shu Coffee Shop

Our very first REMAKE workshop took place at the ultra-cool Uncle Shu Coffee, the perfect spot for launching our eco-friendly cycling plan. We set up sewing machines in the café, where participants brought their old bags and clothes to transform them into custom water bottle bags. Creativity flowed as everyone cut and designed, eagerly waiting for their unique pieces to be sewn. Our tireless sewing team worked for hours to bring the designs to life! Despite late nights and even rain, the excitement never waned—everyone left with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind creation. What a ride!

Sip, Sew, and Cycle with Style!

"Stem Bag REMAKE" Eco Ride

Our eco-friendly cycling tour took a creative turn at Yue Camping, where we upcycled old clothes into custom water bottle bags. Armed with scissors, creativity, and a coffee in hand, participants patiently waited for their turn to have their fabric creations sewn together. Everyone left with a one-of-a-kind, handmade bag and a surprise limited-edition SIGG cycling bottle. Brompton enthusiasts also joined for a special exchange session. The result? A fun-filled day of sustainable crafting, photo-worthy creations, and community bonding!

Art, Cycling, and Creativity Collide

REMAKE Triangle Bag

This National Holiday, we partnered with The Bund Art Museum and BROSHOP for a unique fusion of upcycling, cycling, and art. In this “REMAKE Triangle Bag” workshop, participants unleashed their inner artists using fabric scraps donated by designer brand YANAG. As their custom designs were sewn together by our team, attendees sipped coffee, enjoyed desserts, and explored the museum’s exhibitions. Each participant also received a special SIGG water bottle. The excitement peaked when everyone found their completed triangle bag, perfectly suited for bikes or as stylish accessories. Satisfaction and smiles all around!

Street Style Meets Sustainability!

Triangle Bag REMAKE

We brought the sewing machines to the heart of youth culture at the Wakoy Vintage Market, right across from China Academy of Art. This outdoor workshop was a wild blend of creativity and sustainability, where participants crafted their own triangle bags from upcycled materials. It was the perfect opportunity for everyone to experience the magic of creation in their everyday lives, while learning more about our brand’s recycling and remake system. The energy was high, the creativity was boundless, and every bag was a testament to personal expression and eco-friendly living!

Creativity Goes Paws-on!

Poo Bag REMAKE

We were thrilled to join the Pets and the Rainbow City event, hosted by Bernard Pure and OATLY, where sustainability met furry friends. Participants got hands-on by upcycling old clothes and fabrics to create colorful, DIY rainbow poo bags. With plenty of cutting, stitching, and color pairing, everyone embraced their inner designer while celebrating the bond between humans and pets. The event was filled with love, and even featured a pet adoption drive! A playful and meaningful workshop that highlighted the connection between sustainability and the joy of pet ownership. More events like this, please!

Camp, Create, and Connect!

Triangle Bag REMAKE

Our sixth workshop brought the spirit of sustainability to the outdoors at YUE CAMPING. Participants gathered in the cozy camping shop, letting their imaginations run wild as they upcycled materials into unique triangle bags. Each design was a one-of-a-kind creation, reflecting the playful and creative energy of the group. It was a fun-filled day that showed how "Remake" can turn everyday objects into stylish, sustainable pieces. We’re grateful for the support and thrilled to have met so many like-minded, eco-conscious campers!

A Sustainable Christmas Eve!

Christmas Eve REMAKE School Bag

For our 7th workshop, we celebrated Christmas Eve at Tsutaya Bookstore, transforming recycled fabrics into stylish school bags. The event was a festive hit, with participants of all ages diving into the creative process. Sewing machines buzzed as everyone embraced the joy of making, showing how sustainability can be both fun and fashionable. By the end, each attendee left with a unique, eco-friendly school bag, proving that small actions, like upcycling, can easily become part of everyday life. It was a merry evening of crafting and spreading the sustainable spirit!

Cool and Creative Crossovers!

“Crossover REMAKE” with Casarte & Suning

We kicked off 2024 with an exciting crossover event, partnering with Casarte and Suning for a high-end member-exclusive REMAKE workshop. Stepping outside our usual outdoor and pet-themed workshops, participants were invited to freely cut and craft, transforming materials into imaginative designs. The focus was on bringing sustainability into everyday life, proving that eco-friendly practices can be seamlessly integrated into luxury experiences. It was a thrilling, creative session where participants let their imaginations run wild, making sustainability both stylish and personal!

Sewing Sustainability into Style!

REMAKE Bags: From Waste to Wonder

Our 9th REMAKE workshop focused on turning discarded fabrics and unused clothing into beautiful, practical bags. Each participant embraced their creativity, crafting simple yet stylish tote bags that exceeded their expectations. It was a hands-on experience that revealed everyone’s hidden potential, proving that sustainability can be both fun and empowering. As with every workshop, we connected with new friends and built a community dedicated to bringing eco-friendly practices into everyday life. Another successful step in our ongoing mission to make sustainability accessible to all!

Turning Heat into Creative Fire!

“REMAKE Bags” at BIRLAND x Link Market

At the BIRLAND x Link sustainable market, our 10th REMAKE workshop was all about crafting eco-friendly book bags. Despite the hot weather, the energy was soaring as participants got hands-on with upcycled fabrics donated by independent designer brands. These once-discarded materials were given a new lease on life, transformed into unique, stylish bags by each participant. After cutting and pairing fabrics, everyone eagerly watched as their creations were sewn by our designers. The joy was palpable as they proudly snapped photos of their finished bags—proof that sustainability and creativity go hand in hand!
